When to Use the Blue Winged Olive Dry Fly
BWOs are a critical food source for trout in both spring and fall, often leading to explosive "match-the-hatch" fishing.
- Peak Seasons: Target spring (March–May) and fall (September–November) hatches, especially on cooler days with overcast skies and light rain. The best fishing can often occur on the dreariest days.
